Abrasive blasting refers to the operation of forcibly propelling a high-pressure stream of abrasive material against a surface of the particle. For example blasting is used for different kind of applications; smooth a rough surface, roughen a smooth surface, shape a surface or remove surface contaminants. The goal of this type of finishing is to clean, remove rust, polish, brighten, surface harden, prepare parts for further finishing, or break off die cast runners.
