Zinc plating clear
Electrolytic zinc plating clear is also called “bright passivation” or “blue passivation”
The components are treated in an electrolytic process using cyanide-free acid zinc. Zinc coating can be applied on iron. Blue passivation gives steel a good corrosion protection and nice decorative surface. The coating is also pretreatment under painting to improve the corrosion properties and paint adherence. Blue passivation is shiny, smooth and the surface color is bright.
Coated objects are electroplated by passivate zinc oxidation. Treatment is made by using rack or drum methods in automated process lines. Coating layer can be measured by X-ray. Passivated pieces can be post dipped, which improves corrosion protection even more. Blue passivation is RoHs-proof and is made by SFS – EN ISO 2081 standard.

Zinc plating yellow
